For those who've never heard of Cthulhu, he is one of the Old Ones (ancient extraterrestrial beings of incredible power), and is the creation of author H.P. Lovecraft. Creepy, creepy stuff, but fertile ground for humorous parody.

The occasional reminders from a friend of mine that I A) have a blog, and B) don't update it have finally spurred me into doing some housecleaning here. Not easy since I'm the kind of guy on a forum who 99 times out of 100 will get half-way through a post then kill the window.

I frigging hate SPAM, and apparently I've been inundated with it on the blog. I made a few tweaks to the settings (which will hopefully solve things), but decided to start hunting down some good MT plugins. Big. Waste. Of. Time. They generally fell into one of the following categories:

• Not updated to work with MovableType 3.3x
• Won't work if the pages aren't dynamically generated
• Require enough hand holding as to be pointless

Typical. Hopefully my mods to the SpamLookup plugin will do the trick. In any case, it is well past time to hit the sack. Hopefully I can finish the template/layout tweaks tomorrow.
